How did you discover your interest in sneakers and sportswear?
My fascination with guys in sneakers and sportswear began as a visual attraction when I was 20. I find something captivating in the way sneakers (especially Nike TN & Air Max) present themselves and in the way sportswear emphasizes the silhouette. After that, I’m also very attracted to guys with a “kind of” sporty look.
Over time, this attraction intensified when I began to notice the smell of sneakers and the scent of white sports socks being worn. When I met other kiffeur guys, I was able to discover even more new sensations. A real kiff! For me, this combination of visual and olfactory stimuli creates a very sexual attraction, so I can’t live without it!
Why should we vote for you?
It’s hard to sell myself like that, but as a person, I define myself by my ability to listen and understand others. Multilingual in French, English and Dutch, I navigate easily through these different languages. This is a real asset in Belgium and internationally.
I’m constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and innovative ways to turn my ideas into reality, and why not also for #BEsneax. I love exploring new avenues and creating something meaningful.
What good cause do you plan to defend and why?
I’m thinking of the ExAequo organization, which is there for men who have sex with men around themes such as HIV and STIs, gay sexuality in the wider world, coming out, drugs and other topics. I’m a regular sportsman, so the health theme is something that’s close to my heart. This organization does great work!
Quand j’étais ado, je matais les “grands” à l’athénée. Leur look me faisait bien kiffer. Encore assez discret, le fetish des skets (et du sportwear) est pourtant bien présent dans le monde gay. Il a toute sa place à côté des autres fétichismes. Il n’y à pas de raison de s’en cacher.
A mes yeux, Mr Sneakers a un rôle de représentation, tant en Bekgique qu’ailleurs, pour le fetish des skets et sportwears. Il montre ainsi à ceux qui en sont attirés aussi qu’ils ne sont pas seuls. Si je suis élu, je tâcherai d’être présent lors d’évènements pour soutenir la cause fetish et montrer qu’il est possible de vivre son kiff au sein du monde gay.
Je suis particulièrement sensible à la cause du logement décent de chacun car c’est un droit même s’il y a de plus en plus de personnes précarisées, à Bruxelles et en Belgique plus largement. C’est pourquoi je défendrai le Refuge de Bruxelles car elle est se situe à la conjonction entre la défense de la cause LGBT et celle de l’hébergement.
Toen ik een tiener was, keek ik naar de “grote jongens” in het Atheneum. Hun uiterlijk maakte dat ik er dol op was. Nog steeds vrij discreet, is de fetisj van sneakers (en sportkleding) niettemin zeer aanwezig in de homowereld. Het heeft zijn plaats naast andere fetisjismen. Er is geen reden om het te verbergen.
Mr Sneakers heeft in mijn ogen een representatieve rol, zowel in België als daarbuiten, voor de fetisj van sneakers en sportkleding. Het laat dus degenen die zich er ook toe aangetrokken voelen, zien dat ze niet alleen zijn. Als ik word gekozen, zal ik proberen aanwezig te zijn bij evenementen om de fetisjzaak te steunen en te laten zien dat het mogelijk is om je kink te leven binnen de homowereld.
Ik ben bijzonder gevoelig voor de zaak van fatsoenlijke huisvesting voor iedereen, omdat het een recht is, ook al zijn er steeds meer mensen in precaire situaties, in Brussel en in het algemeen in België. Daarom zal ik de Refuge de Bruxelles verdedigen, omdat het zich bevindt op het kruispunt tussen de verdediging van de LGBT-zaak en die van huisvesting.
