To a future partner,
I am coming to you today on behalf of #BEsneax. Also known as “The Belgian Sneakers”, this is a new association that complements other fetish groups of the gay scene in Belgium. It is therefore primarily for men who love men and sneakers (or more broadly sportswear) as a source of pleasure but it remains open to other genres and sexual orientation for the sake of openness, as well as to the sympathizers from all ways of life.
Its primary objectives are to inform this community about the activities that are organized for its attention, about the prevention that surrounds their daily lives (especially with regard to STDs) and to become the meeting and exchange area for its members. around their fetishism. Another objective is to represent the community among various fetish groups in Belgium and sneakers groups across Europe, but also to convey its image to the general public during events such as Gay Prides. The association has no profit. It supports or collaborates with organizers already in office and can set up activities directly related to its objectives. Thus, next February, we will be able to elect an ambassador who will convey the image of the association and the community. As already exists Mr Leather Belgium or Mr Puppy Belgium for example, we will have Mr Sneakers Belgium tomorrow.
So far, all this has been possible only through a personal motivation but the external interest that is raised shows that it meets a wait and that it fills a void. Build a website (hosting, design, content), promote the existence of the group (posters, flyers, goodies), to name just that, it has a cost. Everything was done on personal funds. To balance things out, it’s time to ask members for a small fee to cover this. As everyone knows, when you pay, you usually expect a return and this is the purpose of this mail.
There is no question of asking outsiders to finance #BEsneax directly. However, since there is a clear link between the activities of the association and yours, we could consider a form of two-part partnership. The first step would be to be able to offer an extra to our members when they come to you. That could be a preferential rate, a reduction on purchases, or other type of advantage according to your possibilities. We can be very creative in this way, but by offering this gift to our members, we invite them especially to come to your place rather than elsewhere. The second part is about the upcoming election of our ambassador and we can be even more creative on this point. We must create the prizes that will be given the winner and his dolphin (and possibly any other candidate) after the contest. It can be a very concrete and material gift directly related to your activity, as it can be the financing of a trip that would help the winner to go to international events where he will represent our community and our country. All this directly or indirectly gives visibility to companies that allow the association to live and its members to evolve.
Think about it and see if you can help a young association to build itself. In comparison to all you can bring us, we have less to offer in return : a deep and eternal gratitude. If these human values matter to you, we know that we can count on you to move forward together hand in hand.

A un futur partenaire,
Je m’adresse à vous aujourd’hui au nom de #BEsneax. Aussi connue sous l’appellation « The Belgian Sneakers », il s’agit d’une nouvelle association qui vient compléter d’autres groupements fétichistes de la scene gay en Belgique. Elle s’adresse donc en priorité aux hommes qui aiment les hommes et les baskets (ou plus largement les tenues de sport) comme source de plaisir mais elle reste ouverte aux autres genres et orientations sexuelles par souci d’ouverture, ainsi qu’aux sympathisants de tous horizons.
Ses premiers objectifs sont l’information de cette communautés sur les activités qui sont organisées à son attention, sur la prévention qui encadrent leur quotidien (notamment en ce qui concerne les MST) et devenir l’espace de rencontres et d’échange de ses membres autour de leur fétichisme. Un autre objectif, c’est représenter la communauté auprès des divers groupements fétichistes en Belgique et sneakers à travers l’Europe, mais aussi véhiculer son image auprès du grand public lors de manifestations telles les Gay Prides. L’association n’a aucun but lucratif. Elle apporte son soutien ou collabore avec des organisateurs déjà en fonction et peut mettre en place des activités en lien direct avec ses objectifs. C’est ainsi qu’en février prochain, nous pourrons élire un ambassadeur qui véhiculera l’image de l’association et de la communauté. Comme il existe déjà Mr Leather Belgium ou Mr Puppy Belgium par exemple, nous aurons demain Mr Sneakers Belgium.
Jusqu’à présent, tout ceci n’a été possible que grâce à une motivation personnelle mais l’intérêt extérieur qui est suscité démontre que ça répondait à une attente et que ça comble un vide. Monter un site Internet (hébergement, conception, contenu), promouvoir l’existence du groupe (affiches, flyers, goodies), pour ne citer que cela, ça a un coût. Tout s’est fait sur fonds personnels. Pour équilibrer plus justement les choses, l’heure est venue de demander aux membres une petite cotisation pour couvrir ceci. Comme chacun sait, quand on paie, on attend généralement un retour et c’est l’objet de ce courrier.
Il n’est pas question de demander à des extérieurs de financer #BEsneax directement. Par contre, puisqu’il y a un lien évident entre les activités de l’association et les vôtres, nous pourrions envisager une forme de partenariat portant sur deux volets. Le premier volet serait de pouvoir offrir un extra à nos membres quand ils viennent à vous. On pourrait penser à un tarif préférentiel, à une réduction sur des achats, ou autre type d’avantage en fonction de vos possibilités. On peut être très créatif en la matière mais, en offrant ce cadeaux à nos membres, on les invite surtout à venir chez vous plutôt qu’ailleurs. Le second volet porte sur l’élection à venir de notre ambassadeur et on peut être encore plus créatif sur ce point. Il s’agit de créer le panier que se verra remettre le lauréat et son dauphin (et éventuellement tout autre candidat) à l’issue du concours. Ca peut être un cadeau très concret et matériel directement en lien avec votre activité, comme ça peut être le financement d’un voyage qui aiderait l’élu à se rendre à des événements internationaux où il représentera notre communauté et notre pays. Tout ceci offre directement ou indirectement une visibilité aux sociétés qui permettent à l’association de vivre et à ses membres d’évoluer.
Réfléchissez et voyez s’il vous est possible d’aider une jeune association à se construire. En comparaison à tout ce que vous pouvez lui apporter, elle n’a pas grand chose à offrir en retour si ce n’est une profonde gratitude et une éternelle reconnaissance. Si ces valeurs humaines comptent à vos yeux, nous savons que nous pourrons compter sur vous pour avancer ensemble main dans la main.

Beste toekomstige partner,
Ik schrijf u namens #BEsneax, ook bekend onder de naam ‘The Belgian Sneakers’. Wij zijn een nieuwe vereniging binnen de gayscene in België; een vereniging in de eerste plaats voor mannen die van mannen in sneakers (sportswear) houden, als bron van plezier. Maar we verwelkomen evengoed andere genres of personen met een andere seksuele geaardheid, net als liefhebbers uit alle hoeken van de samenleving.
Allereerst willen we deze groep informeren zowel over activiteiten die er worden georganiseerd als over preventie in het dagelijks leven (vooral met betrekking tot SOA’s). We willen ook onze leden een plek geven om elkaar te ontmoeten. Daarnaast willen we de gemeenschap vertegenwoordigen binnen verschillende fetishgroepen in België maar ook om zichtbaar te zijn tijdens evenementen zoals Gay Prides. Als vereniging ondersteunen we of werken we samen met reeds aanwezige organisaties en kunnen we activiteiten opzetten die onze doelstellingen kracht bijzetten zonder winst na te jagen. In februari kiezen we een Mr Sneakers Belgium die het gezicht wordt van onze vereniging, naar het voorbeeld van Mr Leather Belgium of Mr Puppy Belgium.
Tot nu toe was dit enkel mogelijk door persoonlijke inzet, maar de groeiende vraag vanuit de gemeenschap toont aan dat er nood is aan meer middelen en ondersteuning. Het maken van een website (hosting, ontwerp, inhoud), het promoten van het bestaan van de groep (posters, flyers, goodies), om er maar een paar te noemen, heeft een kostprijs. Alles werd gefinancierd met persoonlijke middelen. Om dit te kunnen blijven doen, vragen we onze leden voortaan een kleine vergoeding. Maar wie een bijdrage betaalt, verwacht dat daar iets tegenover staat. En dit is het opzet van dit schrijven.
Het is niet de bedoeling dat externe partners #BEsneax dit rechtstreeks gaan financieren. Aangezien er link is tussen onze activiteiten en de uwe, denken we eerder in de richting van een samenwerking en die kan tweeledig zijn. Ten eerste zou u onze leden een extraatje kunnen aanbieden wanneer ze bij u langskomen , onder de vorm van bijvoorbeeld voorkeurstarief, een korting op aankopen of een ander soort voordeel volgens uw mogelijkheden. We kunnen op dit gebied heel creatief zijn. Door dit geschenk aan te bieden, zullen onze leden sneller de weg tot bij u vinden.
Het tweede luik van de samenwerking heeft betrekking op de aanstaande verkiezing van onze ambassadeur en het uitreiken van prijzen na de wedstrijd. Het kan een zeer concreet en materieel geschenk zijn dat rechtstreeks verband houdt met uw activiteit zoals een mand gevuld met uw producten die we kunnen schenken aan de winnaar, ereheer en eventueel een andere kandidaat. Maar kan ook het financieren van een reischeque zijn, waardoor de winnaar ook op internationale evenementen onze gemeenschap en ons land kan vertegenwoordigen. Dit geeft u ook de nodige zichtbaarheid, lokaal, nationaal en internationaal.
Ik zou u willen vragen hier even over na te denken en te bekijken of en hoe u mee kan helpen om deze jonge vereniging op de kaart te zetten. We hebben momenteel maar weinig te bieden buiten onze eeuwige dankbaarheid en erkenning. Als dat voor u voldoende is, dan kunnen we samen vooruit.
